Y'all upgrade the hooks on your Husky Jerk 14s you use in the Spring? They seem awful puny.

Yep. Triple Grip #2's I think. Front and back hooks only, drop the middle one.

I have gone with 3 #4 triple grips. I’ve tried the 2 hook method but it seems that it has better action with 3. Make sure your using a bass rod though because a musky rod will straighten out those hooks in a heartbeat. Other important thing is the right leader. For small stuff like that I really like a 30-50lbs 9” braided titanium. With even 80lbs floro it will really impact the action. no snap, split right right from the bait to leader does best for me
