Has anyone used the Musky Shop Shield Rods. These are their in house rods and I am looking at the 9'6" H for throwing large bucktails. Seems like it would make for great figure 8s. Any help would be appreciated.

Unsure if you made your decision on the rod yet. But got a 9.6 xh shield rod. I love it. Great action. Full cork so it more comfortable on your ribs than a split grip by far. Nice and light. I will be buying more. It is my new favorite blade rod and makes figure 8s super easy. Put a 13a3 on there and you are golden. Tight lines

There are a lot of rods out there that fish great that are on inexpensive side. And those of us who fished in the 70's and 80's some of the perceived junk rods of today are still way better than what we had to fish with back then. We got made now.
