Going back to the expos again has been great,, familiar faces, places, alot hasn't changed, nice, comfortable.
Except the prices of baits.
NOT complaing.
It seems the $20 muskie bait is about to enter the endangered list alot of the baits hanging on racks are the $40-$80 treasure s,,again not complaining not saying they are not justified.
But
Iit would be nice to see these financial commitment compartment fillers for our tackle boxes in action. If I wanted to "try" the baits I'm curious about it would cost me a grand and I wouldn't have that many baits to show for it or a guarantee d resale on ebay or the next swspmeet. Don't mind spending that grand IF I get what I think I'm getting.
Alot of that confidence was always confirmed when we would regularly have the poolsides and see the baits in action, the glide, roll, shimmy, depth achieved has listed and how much tip action, retrieve speed etc needed.
Yeah we got videos and YouTube's but they don't match the same confirmation has being there witnessing it.
I hope the promoters in future bring these very helpful events back.
Bring back the pollsides and fill up the hawgtroff s again.

Location: Germantown, WI | Completely agree! Loved to hear from bait builders on how best to use their lures. Seeing something in action in front of your eyes is by far the best sales tool!
Why did it ever go away in the first place? |

Location: Germantown, WI | You don’t need a swimming pool? Just bring in the 40’ long tank that the Milwaukee show used to bring in every year. Way better than a pools. It was about 8’ deep and glass on all sides so spectaculars could see the lure underwater. Charge me an extra $1 upon entrance and more than pays for it!!

| With the high quality under water videos that are available today, wouldn't it be better if the maker took videos out on the water from a couple angles and made that available? Understand desire to see the bait in action, but not always practical to have a pool demonstration. |

Location: Freedom, WI | I do have videos like that running on multiple picture frames. It works good, people can see the baits and I can answer any questions easily. |

That sounds good. I would prefer that to a pool side demo. |
