I use split rings on everything. I have a question for those of you that are also using split rings. Some of the bucktails I have (Blue Fox, some Mepps, etc.) have eyes too small for even the small bucher ring. How do you handle this? I was thinking of putting a snap on the bucktail, using a little epoxy so it cant open up, and then putting a split ring on that. Any other ideas?
Thanks -

I would just redo the wire with better wire and make a bigger loop. I dont buy any of those little in the box spinners anymore as it is so easy to make better ones. I make all kinds of lures and use Wolverine,Worth,Rosco and Hagens splitrings. The triples by Wolverine are tops for strength but they are wide so I make wide loops on my Bucktails. I use dou lock snaps and have never had one open even to the point of breaking 100 lb power pro. Cost me one of my $50.00 Deep threats. Dont believe the B.S. you have heard about snaps being weak and easy to open. Any cheap wire snaps are junk but good worth snaps and Rosco Snaps are great and I use them and have been using them for 20 years without a single mishap.Rewire the spinners and dont look back, Kingfisher
