Ok guys, after several hours and many attempts, I was finally able to successfully add the PayPal payment system to my website. Now the question I have for you, is if you were to book a guide, or even purchase any product from the internet, how many people feel comfortable paying with their credit card online through a secure server like PayPal, or would the old system of sending a cheque via snail mail still be the preferred method?

Thanks in advance guys.... too much time on my hands this winter!

Paypal is a great service and the best on the internet.  I buy alot on Ebay and try to use paypal for everything.  I have paypal setup with my credit card, debit card and my checking account.  Buying online is a lot safer now days then it is to use your credit/debit card in a store.  Think about what happens to the reciepts that the stores keep when they are done with them, most just put them in the trash and any old shumck can head out to the dumpster and all the info they need is right there.  Another thing is how much do you really trust that shifty character standing behind the register?  He/she to has everything he needs to rip you off.

I have no fear using this service online.

I'd much rather pay online, i can't stand sending paper anymore, and do everything, including my banking, online, and will never go back. I have never had a problem with thousands of transactions over the years.

Thanks for the replys... sounds like its a great tool on the consumer end.

Still have to weigh the pro's and con's of it on my side though. Need to figure if the transactions fees are worth it.

Paypal is great, I have used it for years on E-bay with no problems.

paypal is great. the downside is the fees, which would probably hit you more on small purchases. if you've got someone paying for a trip or something with it, it should be good.

We use a secure server certificate through Thawte. Not sure if that is an option for you, but it works very well and allows a customer to use a CC or Check.
