I wish I could be happy right now, I live in the most northeast part of metro Denver 20 miles to the west of me right in the middle town we had a fire burn 500- 1000 homes and businesses. So far no deaths reported. It was 59 degrees with 40-50 mph winds with gusts over 100+ and very dry. Its going to snow today and tonight with a high of 17 tomorrow.

Seen reports of gusts to 115mph, firefighters had to retreat. I hope everyone made it to safety. Between the forest fires in the mountains and the grass fires on the plains there isn't much of the state that doesn't fall into a fire danger. Colorado has been in a severe drought I know of two lakes on the republican river that were drained and removed because Kansas sued for the water.

We got snow yesterday and last night, before that the airport got .03" back on the 10th of Dec. Latest first snow ever for Denver. Before this snow I had like 17 flakes all winter and it rained on Christmas eve. and did not hear much thunder last summer. I have too shovel 3" of snow off my driveway I've never been so happy to shovel snow in my life. Its five degrees and going to get 15-17 degrees for a high. yes i'm very happy.
