Location: West Central WI | I leave Wisconsin and go to Virginia Beach for three months. I visit saltwater bait shops for lures and lure parts that look good and are different than any muskies have seen around here. |

Location: Northern Illinois | For me, kinda like a retrospective or lessons learned. I'm totally chill now when I fish, but, like everyone else, I like to be good at what "I do". So, I try to tune my equipment and think about things in my technique last season that were both right and wrong. I envision some sort of adjustment to get better.
I used to just buy more lures and dream about fishing as a replacement for actual fishing. But now, I tune or adjust things both mentally and with equipment and lures.

Location: E. Tenn | Open water year round here.... still have to pick and choose my days to fish muskies since it's a two hour drive each way, and a tank of gas. I can also bass fish locally, fly fish for trout.. and even troll one up for dinner on a lake 10 minutes away.. |

| We'er only iced up here now for about 6 to 8 weeks (no ice yet) so I get everything done that can be done inside and outside my house during the off season. I also reevaluate my lure collection and sell those I have lost confidence in. I now have a fraction of the baits I started with but my catch rate has improved since I quit looking for the "magic" bait and learned to get more out of my go to baits. |

| Used to ice fish a lot in town but it's been so mild the last few winters I don't get out. I could go up in the mountains but my 87 year old mom health is declining so I can't really leave her. We used to take the 160 mile road trip (each way) to Sidney NE. to go to Cabela's now we have two in town plus they don't have much in the stores compared to the catalog. I had to retire early due to a head injury so I do lots of things to get the most of my cognitive abbilities and work out. The good news cast retrieve figure eight all day every day backlash free! |

Location: SW Ohio | Fish till late Dec (but seem to be done now), work, go to a couple musky shows, work, watch fishing shows, work and get my gear ready for late Feb/early Mar.
Oh, and ditto on the beer….
Do need to get my bike back on the road. Been down two years now. Fuel pump crapped out and now the injectors appear to be stuck open. Got the itch to get back to riding finally. |

| I get back in shape because I drink too much beer during fishing season and don't work the non-fishing muscles when its warm. Cardio every other day and weight lifting in between.
Spend a couple weeks down south fishing bass and snook.
Fix all the sh&^%@ I broke and duct-taped together last season. Tune lures and sharpen hooks.
Then it's March already and time to freeze in a boat hunting walleyes.
Clean and wax boats - commence the Musky hunt.

Location: SE, WI. | Love Open Water fishing the Harbors and Tributaries of lake Michigan in the Winter From Shore. So much more exciting than staring down a Hole! You catch everything. Browns, Steelhead, Coho. Browns are a Blast when they crush your presentation below your feet. 2-20+pound browns follow like Musky, and have converted a couple on figure 8's over the years:) Also get Smallies, Pike, whitefish, suckers, and a few 15-30 lb carp. Rarely ever ice fish anymore. Most trout R released, But Hens like this make great Spawn Sacs:) Spend hours in the Basement building custom Baits; Topwaters Pour Custom Jigs, and pour plastic Creatures from my homemade Molds. Pour and tie on My custom spinnerbaits, and homemade Bucktail. Also take avantage of the cold temps to Make around 700-900 lbs of a variety Of Sausages during winter. Make for Family, Friends, and a few Deer camp Parties. Now again I can Enjoy going for Power Walks With the Mrs, On my newly Inserted Hip JD

| I spend a good amount of time on the ice chasing panfish, trout, and walleyes. I build rods from ice rods to musky rods and anything in between. It’s always fun to go over the data in my fishing log from the year and compare to past years as well. Baits get reorganized and hooks get sharpened. Just a typical winter in northern Minnesota. |

Location: oswego, il | I fish for Lakers in the winter. Jigging for them is fun. Make some lures, work on our banquet/fundraiser, rest up and work some sport shows for our MI club. I have no more hunting spots to go to otherwise I would do that.

Biggest we've caught has been 36" but I know some people who have caught some over 40. This one isn't 36 just a purdy one like the guy holding it. :)
Gillespie's program today featured them jigging for lakers just inside the breakwall in Milwaukee. Not sure I would have enjoyed it, big waves must have made the camera guys job tough the way that boat was bouncing but they got some nice fish. |

It's not even in a bigger boat. When you need to maintain balance and it interferes with your ability to rig, unhook and net fish I'd just as soon head in rather than bang shins, elbows and whatever else as it bangs off #*#*. |

It's not even in a bigger boat. When you need to maintain balance and it interferes with your ability to rig, unhook and net fish I'd just as soon head in rather than bang shins, elbows and whatever else as it bangs off #*#*.
Blake almost went over the side netting a laker for the guide in the front of the boat.
Everyone laughed but I could see where trying to net a fish with the boat bucking like that would be no fun. |

This a 77 Kawasaki 1000 LTD that I'll finish this winter. Totally rebuilt motor, tranny, and painted the Eddy Lawson Lime Green.

Ok, found a photo of that with the navy blue and white stripes, that is a great look. Do you have a paint booth? I have sprayed furniture pieces and dust is always so hard to eliminate. I have made temporary booth out of plastic sheeting and wood furring strips. That helps but does not eliminate the problem. Will be doing pour on epoxy on round bar table for my nephew soon and that stuff takes so long to cure, dust is real concern. |
