the Govt. vaccine mandates may require you to have 5 or 6 shots by summer... Who knows ?
Just a hunch, but I don't think Kirby or myself will be participating in their experiment.
I already had 2 shots voluntarily, don't need any more. |

Without changing the whole subject of the post, I have my reasons and I believe they are good ones!
I certainly hope I can go but I’m not holding my breath. I had a great season at home, especially for not fishing much so I’m not too bummed. |

Gotta see what the wife thinks of going to a new place this year as our normal location might boot us out as we are just a couple only rather than a group of 4. Have some ideas of how we can maybe increase that, though... Have to see...
If Wife cannot go, I might be on my own... That'll put me in a tent on an island somewhere out there.. |

Location: Northern IL | Once they announced America's could enter Canada last fall I started making plans to take the shot's. Wasn't thrilled about it but all of our fishing days are numbered and I'm not going to give a single one of them up if I can help it.
Next year, it will be nice to fish on the Canadian side of the Detroit river once again, last year I landed 21 muskies from the Michigan side in a little over a week. As far as Big trips it's got to be our 18th time to the Vermilion Bay area. Last October 3 guys/ 2 boats landed 114 muskies, need I say more? |

Location: Southern WI | Currently debating where I want to go as I’m getting tired of the pressure down here in S. Wisconsin. Used to do LCO all the time but after getting back into the sport I’ve since learned it’s been speared out. Really want to focus on one or two lakes and stick them out rather than drive all over state so I’m torn between Hayward area and Minocqua area. Currently toying with the idea of hiring Ty Sennet and trying to figure out Chip. Any recs inside of the US and preferably in the state of WI welcome. |

I've gotten a couple notes recently requested a little clarification. No my buddy's and I were not on the Indian Chain. Fished it 1 time 16 years ago for 3 hrs. before getting rained off or something... The other species we landed in Oct. included northern pike, sm bass, 50+/- walleyes and a lake trout or two.
Merry Christmas to all, even Steve.
Fingers crossed they let us back across the border in 22!

| I'm surprised not many go to Cave Run to start the season early. Last year was my first time and I will be back this year.
Cave Run in April., Minocqua in June and Mercer in July. Others will just be weekend getaways.

Nowhere. Looking more and more like a hip replacement is in store for this summer. :(
Good luck with that. Being at an age where many of my relatives and friends are having that done, the good news seems to be that it is much quicker, simpler procedure today and the healing is quicker. If you follow the doc's instructions. None of them have regretted it and I think they all wish they had done it sooner. |
