Location: SE, WI. | Check out my Bouy-Ancy Bucktails on page 2 of my post “Winter Project.” A good layer of tinsel , tail end , then 2-3 layers of bucktail up front. The hair sort of controls the tinsel, but yet the tinsel acts as a trailer. It all conforms nicely around the wood body screwed in to wraps on wire. The blade, hair, and wood seems to displace mucho water;) Easy to keep up high in water column. It’s a great bait when guiding, and when clients can’t seem to keep baits out of rocks and weeds. Smoked many fish on this style bait last 3 years. Not sure if I’d tie the tinsel on the hooks. Of course, not really understanding what your trying to accomplish;). If your tying directly to trebles, maybe use a piece of shrink tubing to create a more rounded base. Couple layers may help your hair/ tinsel flare a bit! Have Fun! JD
