Quite a few years ago I seen some.june bug spinners on sale and wanted to see how they would fare on a topwater bait. I never bought a drill press to do a thru-wire wood blank so I decided to make it the lead blade on a buzzbait. It far exceeded my expectations. The blade really vibrated the bait and had tiny popping noises like a tail bait. Very pleased. The bait with the green blade was overall louder and the other two had a more standard buzzbait splash. All worked to the surface very fast and easy and all the blades counter rotate.

Very nice Todd. Was really bummed this fall when I went to The Musky Shop and found out the were no longer making the Klack, single hook buzz bait. Not great for hook ups but it brings fish out of thick weeds better than any other bait I have tried and little fouling. Chain I live on is shallow and weedy and the fish relate to the weeds.

I made a spinnerbait style buzzbait that has 3 counter rotating small Delta blades like the one above I wasn't sure how fast it would need to be retrieved but it comes up super fast makes a good sound and a very very loud squeal!

The Klack has a flat, lead body. One large delta style blade. When you retrieve it, the blade flexes the wire enough so that the blade 'ticks' the lead body, giving it a unique sound. My son doesn't fish musky often but has caught a couple on Klacks, running just below the surface. You don't get the splashing on top but I think the sound of the blade hitting the body is more intense. I have not had any luck with that technique.

I have one of those buzzbaits. Here is the 3 Delta blade buzzer. Based on it's sound I think I will call it Ned Beatty

Never got a musky in the reeds with one but have caught bass and at least one pike fishing in the reeds with one.
