| My wife and I would like to head to a decent muskie lake in Northern Wisconsin and tent camp. Any good ideas?

| Big Lake, west of Boulder Junction has a State Campground on it. Most all the campsites have major greenery between
adjacent sites so you don't feel like a Packer tailgate party. The roads are winding and paved. There is hand pump
drinking and campsite water randomly spaced around the
campground and clean gang sized outhouses. Boulder Junction is close by as are restaurants and sport shops. Our MI Chapter used to have an outing there every year. Good luck. | |

| Big Lake State campground is really nice and is on a great lake. There are several lakes within a couple miles of there that are great too. You wont go wrong going there.

| If you want to fish big fish water and camp for free with wilderness scenery that makes you think you are in Canada, you can''t go wrong with the Turtle Flambeau Flowage. There are probably 40 or 50 rustic first come first serve campsites accessible by water only. If you want to have some facilities available, drive right up to your site, and don''t mind paying, there are many state campgrounds that are on good musky lakes. Big lake was already mentioned, but also take a look at Plum, Palmer, Big Muskellunge, Trout, Razorback, Lac Vieux Desert, and Star. All are good musky lakes with state campgrounds on them. | How about Ballard? We used to camp at the picnic area in the North Bay. This was in the 80's so I don't know if it's still allowed. Can't drive to it so you have to boat and haul your own water. | |

| Threelakes, wisconsin. Manns harbor campground. nice campsites, restaurant on grounds, boat slips. and golf course next door. Can fish the 3 lakes chain or many other lakes in ares. Good luck
