6 more weeks until the Cave Run outing. What's the latest?

Mauser helped me put some stronger hooks on a couple of my 1/2 oz. Rattletraps last weekend. I think I'll start with smaller baits and lighter line this year. I'm still gonna bring that Herpes Bobbie Bait that Hulbert was throwing last year. I need a fish outta that lake before I give up on it altogether. m

Tom! I was given March 18-21 (I'll be coming in Wednesday the 17th) in a post from Sworral a couple weeks ago. Today, I made reservations for the dis-Comfort Inn for the 17th and like TECK found out, they know nothing about this. Last year they gave us a discount, but all this was set up the previous December for last year's outing. Must be some kind a hold up on it this year.

Herpes pattern on the Bobbie, a yellow bait with dark spots. Looks awesome in the water. I had a fish hit my rattletrap, then jump over to the bobbie that Mikie Hulbert was throwing out the front of the boat. Team effort to land that one, for sure. Too bad he won't be there this year so I can steal his fish, I'm sure our lives will both be long enough for me to get even. m

Hey Mikie, since your an outing veteran, I thought maybe you could tell me a couple of thing's. I only live an hour away and I can't make it down until Saturday morning. So, I was wondering if I could just jump right into the middle of thing's or do you guy's fish tournament style and you have to be there for the whole thing or what?  Instead of just driving back to the house on Saturday evening, should I hang around and spend the night somewhere? What all do you guy's get into in the evening time? ie- speaker's? demo's? etc.  Just afew thing's I was wondering about. I would appreciate any info-suggestion's you could give me.

Thanks man,

cpr

Chris

Rivermusky, no, it's not a tournament format, everyone is welcome, it's more of a "free for all." Boat hopping, etc. is common, it's all for fun.
