Are you guys having Server Problems or is there a pc problem on my end?

I can get into almost all web sites with no problem but getting into Muskie First can take awhile and at times not at all.

No problems here, sir. I suspect it is something on your end! What error message is displayed?

Sunday morning I was trying to get onto MuskieFirst and kept getting a message that the site was unavailable. The whole web is slow cuz of this new virus according to my Earthlink customer service. Hope it's nothing else. m

Isn't slow here at all. Blisters along as it should, so it's something on your end, no idea what.

The site works fine for me except when I post, then it times out on me. Maybe I post too much?;-)

I've noticed that it is slower than other sites as well. It isn't too bad except when posting or replying, then it is very slow. It always has been, although it has seemed worse the last few months.

P.S. I timed this post and it took 38 seconds to respond. That is a long time when you're surfing through a cable modem expecting instananeous results (and usually getting them). Odd thing about it, editing this same post only took 2 seconds.

I posted on the board last week about this same thing. I get to the site fine but it takes a long time to get to the message board. Usually with my cable connection everything is instantaneous. It doesn't happen everytime though, wierd.
Scott
P.S. 41 seconds from the time I hit submit til it went through, that's a long time with cable access

I have noticed that it takes a long time to post or open some threads the last couple of month with charter too. Other pages load just fine.

The code is inefficient on the pages that post the new messages or replies, we are working to upgrade it. Other than that the site has been humming along flawlessly. We have only had one short outage in the past 2 years and that was from the SQL Slammer virus.

Thanks,

Zach

This site is slow when posting, and it has really been bad lately. It is great that you now realize the problem exists and you are actively fixing it.
I will see if it's fixed now when I hit Submit!

I thought it was me, usually it take along time for this site to load and post my replys. I'm on a T-1 line with a graphics orientated computer with a ton of RAM and huge processor. Maybe it's my ISP having problems?

11 seconds. That is with a Hughes Satellite receiver and not very fast upload capacity.

This time it only took 4 seconds to open this thread but there are times where it takes considerably much longer, the problem where ever it comes from seems to be intermittent that would make it very difficult for Zach and Steve to find. One thing that may help you would be to turn off any popup blocker that you may have.

To be honest if it takes 2 Min to open Muskie First I would still wait for it to open, There is no better site on the web for our Muskies keep up the good work guys
