Talk to Slamr here on the board. he has a Patriot 1690 Demo for sale that would be perfect for Madison, at a kick fanny price that would leave you about $5000 left over. New warranty on boat and motor, too. I have a 1690 myself, and love it. Mine is powered by a 40, Slamr's a 50. Mr Bluegill over at iceFIRST has a 1710 side console with a 125 for about $14K, a year older model.Slamr's is an '03 new in May.

Get a used bass boat.  Your water isn't that rough that you need a big water boat.  With bass boats you get a lot of boat for $15k.

I don't know if this is legal Mr Moderators, but, I would check out the classifieds on this site, most notably a 2001 Crestliner 1750 Fish Hawk owned by yours truly. A lot of boat there for $12,500.

Rocket, I tried to e-mail you but it didnt go through.

For that much,You can get into a brand new 17' aluminum with maxed out HP and electronics if you are O.K. with 2-stroke carb's.

Is 4-stroke important to you??

are you only considering glass?

e-mail me at

thx much.,

Alumacraft 165 navigator rated for a 75hp. Good deals with a fifty. Plenty of space and livewell. Nice warranty.
I ended up with a 2004 stratos proxl 17'6 93 in. beam with a 90hp for 16grand. I guess its whatever fits your boating needs. I would definetly consider Alumacraft though.
