I am starting to look at my options in 1 year old 620's, last child heading out of daycare, financing is great, and looking at putting more time on some big ponds. Here is my question, what option do you recommend and like in your 620's that are not standard options? What other creature comforts do you like?

Thanks

Troyz,
The first option I HAD to have was the rear deck w/ pro pole and butt seat. I wanted to find one with that so I didn't have to order it on my own. Cost for the deck + was something like 7-8 hundred dollars.Partners love it and I use the space underneath to store my big boxes(Lakewood Monsters).I wish I had the remote oil fill. Much more convenient. This will be my 2nd season running the 620 and I love it. Plenty of storage is nice. Handling?I've had it on 100 acre ponds as well as Mille Lacs and Vermilion and it's been awesome.I could fit my 681 inside this one.I feel more comfortable with the kids in the boat also. They're 6 and 8 and like to move around a bit. This fall , I removed the rear deck for trolling and really liked the wide open stern. Lots of room.Oh yeah, make sure you get a swing or removeable tongue on the trailer. Tandem trailers are not very easy to move off their path or finagle in the garage.Good luck of your search. Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you've got any specific questions. Steve

Like Steve said, the removable rear deck is a must. Bike seats/poles a close second. I always get a Hamby's keel protector and not the cheap taped on one. I always get a second pump on the livewell because I usually put a big fish in there just to get rods, baits, and the net out of the way for pictures.
The only other thing I can think of off hand is a piece of rubber mat on the port gunnel where the side rod rack is because the wide reels we use will bang up the fiberglass. Ranger actually has a part number for it now.
Of course, it was my idea but I have NO IDEA what the part number is!

I definitely enjoy my extended deck in the back as already stated above. Your buddies will appreciate it greatly! An x-19 at the helm and an x-15 at the bow are a nice touch--especially for big water (gps maps from navionics are a life/fish location saver). An onboard marine radio and antenna is great to keep up on the latest chat. I use the baitwell on my 621 as a cooler and had ranger reconfigure the port cooler into extended carpeted storage space (one bow port side dry box instead of two). A kicker of course is essential--15 4-stroke is best for that boat. I had ranger leave off the side rails and had my dealer place down east rod holders on extenders to get them up off the gunnel a bit. A walk through bimini w/ drapes has saved us from many a storm on LOTW, etc. The walk through windshield has made colder/rougher weather days a dream in comparison. I do not have the remote oil option and I wish I did........
