As of today, over 30 are confirmed to attend. A program note: Regarding the trolling session held from 1:00-2:30, we will have Jim Olson discussing row trolling. He made a row trolling boat (which he described in his article published in the Muskie Inc. Magazine.) and he will bring the boat to his session. He is making some modifications to his boat and will explain that during in his session. He will cover all aspects of row trolling a subject he knows well since he won the Vilas tournament a few years back with a hefty 48" - row trolling. Kevin Witt a CCMI member caught nearly 60 fish in 2003 trolling his Lund/Johnson 4-stroke. He will present his tips and suggestions for power trolling. This session is billed as "Row Trolling A-Z" -it should be labeled "Trolling" A-Z. I think this is going to be fantastic for those interested in trolling from first-class experts who have demonstrated their success in a big way!

I actually have a bit of a surprise for you at the Madison Muskie School. The 'Underwater Lure Sounds and Vibrations' piece will be updated from the old master tape I found.

Hey, this is a great deal. The sessions are top shelf, fun, and educational. You have a chance to leave with a door prize worth more than the admission price ( Last year Sue and I won a Microwave that sits on the kitchen counter today) PLUS the knowledge you acquire from Don, Lee, and the rest of the lineup of great sticks. You will NOT go away hungry, either!
If you are within a soewhat nasty drive distance of this event, GO!! You won't be disappointed.

OK, what I am going to try to have done:
New tape for the school with new baits recorded.
Video of same, if I can figure out how to incorporate the sound track to the video, will be asking Zach for help there.

I have been hearing now for more than 5 years about how great the Steve Worrall sonics presentation is. It's the one that he used up at Nicolet College (I believe it is) at the course he taught there. This rave review was given to me by an old-schooler, a M.I. Hall-of-Fame member. Needless to say this guy doesn't get impressed easily. He was V-E-R-Y impressed by Steve Worrall's sonics/underwater sounds presentation. I am glad that Steve has retrieved it (Apparently his a/v tape was stolen and he has just recently - accidently - discovered a duplicate). Now if it is further improved it's going to be even better. I am really looking forward to it!

In addition to that- an all day Saturday opportunity to rub shoulders with top Muskie experts (for just $25 with a hot lunch included) to help get ready for the opener - darn good deal!

So just program the VCR recorder for the Bucher, Mehsikomer, Lindner shows and join us at the Muskie School at Waunakee High School Saturday March 6!

In a little over 2 weeks we'll be holding the school. As of today its approximately 70% filled-up so there is still plenty of room. Price now is $25 if you register before this coming Monday - Feb 23rd. If you are planning to attend but haven't enrolled yet call 608-849-7659 ask for Bill Wood and tell him what classes you want (go to http://www.capitalcitymuskiesinc.org and go to "meetings and events" to review the program). If you do that before Monday the 23rd you can still get the $25 fee (early bird special)- otherwise the cost goes up $10 - the rates is $35 after the 22nd.

This is lining up to be the best school ever! It's a great way to get your Muskie strategy fine-tuned for the upcoming season!

Please join us for a fun day!

A lot of us are really looking forward to hearing Steve Worrall's underwater sonics presentation - I've been hearing about it for years. Bill Wood says the food is all lined up complete with Dutch apple pie and ice cream.
I am also going to pay attention to the Top Prey and Wabbell lure demonstrations in the pool - I hear that Wabbell is quite the side-to-sider!

I'm looking forward to a full day!

Steve Worrall is going to bring a box of his Wabbell's and really show us the tricks of that lure - that should be great. Also, the door prizes and raffle prizes include 3 beautiful Muskie prints, Kenmore 1000 Watt Microwave, 2-All Star Muskie rods, 5-300 yard spools of Tuff-Line, a bunch of lures, a Shimano baitcaster/ALL-STAR/TUff Line combination, Coffeemaker, Patterson measuring stick, boat towels, and on and on... There will be many winners on Saturday! The pool is huge, we have benches so the students will be able to see all kinds of tips & tricks on ways to use the latest lures. It looks things are in order and everything is on track. Call Bill at 608-849-7659 and register if you think you can make it and haven't enrolled as yet. Hope to see you there!
