I stopped in at my favorite bait store today (Hornbecks in Belpre), and was shown a new A/C Shiner color they had just got ahold of: blue with black head. I've had some good things happen with blue / white (or pearl), so this may be interesting. m

That's a true tiny bait there. Only 1/8 oz. and 3" long. Is that for bass and crappie? I've always wondered why their wasn't more black and blue baits since people swear by those colors for dirty water.

Nah, I got the #675 (6.75 inches), but that was the color example they had on their site.
A good quality Ohia-made bait, wish I'd visited their shop when I lived in SW part of the state. m

I've moved a couple on the black and silver version of that model this spring, great twitch bait. m

So me and the AC go back 30 years ..One of the most productive lures I've ever thrown . Used love the perch with the white belly before they switched over to orange belly .. I've collected 4 size 1000 models , pretty rare lure .. Like throwing them but they are entirely fragile , won t hold up to casting let alone catching , so I just admire them ,lol ..... was told the old man was in his late 80s or barely 90s and the future of the company was kinda unsettled ?

I'll have to agree. Picked up a few a couple weeks ago. Some from the factory (via phone call. No visits allowed), some from local tackle store. Got to try them out today.

The OO's are a bit difficult to cast with musky gear (4" balsa) but i managed to figure them out. Hooked a nice mid-30's fish today only to have it spit the lure when trying to net (I fish solo). Still, a great start.

Switched up to the 675 cedar model and bagged a fat 42". Was doing gentle jerks and pulls with it. Lure just stopped dead. Where the first one was more tarpon than musky, the second stayed down with big head shakes. Ran me around the boat a couple times. Hook came out in the net. A very successful day!
