Easterlings in West Allis(Milwaukee) does a decent job. Used the same thread and guides as St. Croix on a couple of my rods last year. 414-259-3907.
Another idea is to learn to do it yourself? The materials can be purchased on-line. Cabela's has a TackleCraft catalog with a section devoted to rod building/repair.
I'm sure there will be somebody in your neck of the woods who does this also. I'm sure someone will know who. |

I take my stuff to a place in Portage, WI called DW Sports. He has a friend of his who loves to do that kind of stuff and charges, for the most part, materials only. I have had a couple eyelets replaced that once done you couldn't tell from original. Might want to look them up if you don't mind the trip down.

Location: Holly, MI | I vote for doing it yourself. Of course I have made some rods so it is a natural choice. It is not hard and a first timer can do a very good job. Get a book out of the library (free) then buy some guides on eBay (under $10) Flex-coat (light 2 part epoxy), a spool of rod wrapping thread and you are in business. The old guides come off pretty easy with a sharp exacto knife. Cut the threads and peel them off the rod. |

Location: north central wisconsin | Thought about doing it myself, but only for a minute or two while on my way ice fishing. If I have a spare hour, I'm on the ice this time of year(or doing some sort of wife project). I have enough other bait tinkering/reel rebuilding/leader making things to do. I will look up some of those dudes, and thanks much!!! |
