You have 1 day to fish this lake and you have one other person in the boat with you. What is your approach?

1200 acres
gin clear water
4 small islands
Multiple rock humps reaching 3 feet from the surface
Limited cabbage growth on shoreline, some deep weeds found near islands
the deepest point in the lake = 65 ft
average lake depth = 28 ft
glacier moraine lake
Early august
Normal spring/ice out
Forage = Ciscoes, crappies, walleye, bluegill
Sand and rock bottom
Water temps = 74 degrees
North winds, 5-10 mph
Clouds and misting
Major at 10:03 PM, 9:27 AM
Minor at 5:52 PM, 1:16 AM

I'd fish from 5pm till midnight... I'd consistently keep the boat in 30' + feet of water.. both throwing rubber at least 80% of time (even after dark)...depending on fishing pressure I may check near tops of humps with a topwater 30 min after sunset..and with a super model after o'dark thirdy. Would have a bondy bait ready to go to drop down to the almost certain arches on your graph you'd see...

By your lake description and scenario, most guys will think deep suspended muskies. And they are probably right. But finding those fish will be time consuming so I will suggest a different approach and look for shallow, slop type bays. These fish will be easier to locate and generally be more aggressive. A cloudy day would help, but definitely concentrate your time on low light conditions, throwing big single hook spinnerbaits, weedless spoons like the big Johnson silver minnow, and maybe a surface bait. Don't be afraid to get "way back up in there", bass type water. Kdawg

Sounds like half of the lakes in MN. Cast the weeds with whatever bait you have confidence in.

id cruise around and map weeds and structure most of the day, troll around a bit and find some spots maybe move some fish. Cast fishy looking areas to get a feel for them.

in six hours time you get two minors and a major and first dark so id hope to be casting the best areas i found during those times.

Since it's misting then we're talking heavy overcast and also at least a moderate wind to further reduce surface light penetration. Sounds like prime conditions to find active daytime fish up shallower than usual using the rock humps and then also along the deep weed edges. I'd concentrate on the best of those areas that are tied into the basin. Front angler with blades and back angler with rubber of some type.

I'd be looking for sandgrass in 18-25 fow.
And I'd start trolling the lake right away, up and down the breaks looking to see where the baitfish are located.
You gotta fish the weeds and rocks, casting.
But, I'd be looking for a large concentration of bait to troll through, or jig bondys on top of the bait.
