| First thing I think of when I see ROI, is Return On Investment, but I think it is safe to assume it's referring to the manufacturer. |

How can you tell if they are pre ROI?
Different sounding rattles, different lip angle, much more subtle mold line, usually came with 2/0 vmc oshnessey hooks and green split rings. The plastic is the biggest difference but we can’t tell what it’s made of. |

Location: SE, WI. | The pre- Roberts were made from this brisk ABS or basf plastic . The rattles were very distinct and louder than the dull softer plastic used now.
I had 1 abs plastic crack and chip a section from the side of the depth raider as the musky threw his head against side of boat. . That’s how brittle they were. Also heard a couple stories on how lips broke off from some of the early runs..... possibly the reason they eventually went to the softer plastic.

I’ve got about 25 old ones when Gelb and I were in the MCMI together;) May sell off a few of the used ones at a later date. Have 7-8 depth raiders that have 25-30 fish on each bait
We miss U Tom!

| Many many years ago there was a thread someone started on here discussing the changes with these baits. Search - Depth Raider Question
Nice picture too of 120 DR’s on the kitchen table ! Wonder if he’s got more than that now ? like I say a good few years back.
