| Another question Steve, it's structure looks sort of like a safety pin style spinner bait. Those are pretty good about going through weeds, will this do the same? |

Weighs under 4 ounces. He has a single hook rig for weedy waters and the trebles for regular use. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Also new is his Unhinged Extra Large Musky Spinnerbait built on a .062 wireframe with a #8 and #10 colorado blade. Double treble hooks for good hook ups with a 6/0 upper and 10/0 lower treble.

Location: Blaine, Minnesota | Are A-rigs the same as Umbrella rigs? If they are then here's the text from the 2021 regs, '"Umbrella" style rigs may be used provided only one wire contains hooks. The other wires may include lure/baits but cannot contain hooks." It also says only one tackle configuration is allowed on each of your lines and this shows three separate lures so if you just used one lure with a treble it could work with a bad hookup ratio. This is just my interpretation of the regs so someone can correct me on this. |

| I can chime in for MN, Steve. The issue with MN DNR is a "collection of multiple artificial lures/baits each capable of catching a fish". Because each of the trebled bucktails in that rig could possibly catch a fish (though doubling up on muskies would be quite the miracle haha), my understanding is that it would not be legal in MN. However, you could do something like having 2 of the rear blades with no trebles, and upsizing the blade/profile/color of the one with hooks to up the odds that a muskie hits it.
And Fishn'goon yes, A-rig/umbrella rig/Alabama rigs are basically the same thing. If we're getting technical, umbrella rigs can include massive trolling rigs for striped bass, and A-rigs/Alabama rigs are the downsized castable versions for bass. |
