| Has anybody been fishing Cave Run in the last week? I'm headed down in a couple days and just wondering how fishing has been. |

| I was down there a week ago and the water was VERY high and muddy and I don't think it has cleared up much since then due to more rains down there. Bite was tough we scratched out 2 in 3 days of fishing.

| Info for anybody else that is heading down.....We fished March 27-28. Conditions are typical for this time of year with very high and muddy water. Some fish are still being caught however. |

| Hearing water temps have jumped up and are now in mid 70's.

| Saw the recent temps and figured it had. With next week's forecasted temp drop, I should be Ok through the 9th, maybe early on the 10th. |

Oneida County has freeze, not frost, warning for tonight, 25 to 30 for lows. Going out for the opener early tomorrow morning because we have family coming at noon. Not really sure how to approach it with those kinds of over night temps. This will be my 16th opener on the chain, but never had it that cold. Think I will hit the north shore of the lakes to start, figuring that will be the warmest, and go from there. |

Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | Yep.. 26 here tonight. Fish super duper shallow, North west side,..SLOW spinner baits or glide/twich baits ??

| Hey Jerome. I'll be up there July 10th to 17th on a family trip and will fish them some then. July 28th to Aug 10th will be walleye and on the Gitch for salmon. Some muskie thrown in between trips. Love the V, but not muskies on the V. Plans for Cave Run fell through. Plus, looks like the weather is flipping me the bird anyway. Are you up there again? |
