Location: Central Pennsylvania | Considering a TI Pro in XH, and I need reccomendations for a reel and gear ratio. I hope this rod and reel will be decent at the large majority of applications. Budget isn't a bother, and a higher speed reel making some things more difficult wouldn't bother me much (I'm young). Thanks to all yinz who reply. |

Location: Central Pennsylvania | I was thinking the same but I talked to a guy and he said that the setup might be a little odd considering a tranx 400 is so light, especially when paired up with an xh. |

| Yup, TI XH would be a super versatile rod because of the way it loads up, and paired with a Tranx 400AHG, you'd be set. My fishing partner has a Tranx 400AHG/TI XH combo and can throw a very wide range of baits on it well |

Well, I'm young and don't quite have a job so I have to save. I meant that the price of this one setup doesn't bother me because it'll be used for most or all larger size applications, so I might as well buy good quality. |

Location: Chisholm, MN | If that’s the case I’d get a big nasty. I absolutely love that rod. The split grip has a longer handle, which I prefer. I can throw anything small to large with that rod. Pair it will the Tranx 400hg and 80# Cortland and you’re all set. |

The attraction for me was the the light weight and the reel seat. The handle is place directly below the reel which gives you multiple options for gripping the rod which should reduce fatigue. Looking forward to comparing it to my Big Nasty. |
