| Just fished the chain for a day and a half this past weekend in the WI Chapters of Muskies, Inc State Challunge. We were on Catfish, Eagle, Voyageur and Scattering Rice. No big fish up but saw many and both of us lost fish.
99% of the fish were seen on Scattering Rice - at the mouth of the river. We were running the weed edges in about 6 ft of water. Window seemed to run 9:30 - 11 a.m. and then again from 1-2 p.m. The early window had fish coming in hot. Afternoon they were low and slow but size was up. They would go with the 8 before leaving (story of my life this year). We were fishing bucktails, spinners and jerkbaits. Brass blades seemed to make a difference on the spinners/bucks. Hot colors on the jerks.
It was my first time on the chain and I was a little overwhelmed...I have never seen so many pontoons, jet skis and ski boats in my life. I will never complain about Lake Wissota being busy again. Early morning was great but by 11 a.m. it was a zoo.
Thanks to the Headwaters chapter for hosting the event!

| Scattering Rice! Wow brings back memories of my biggest fish. The first day I ever used a Jackpot I picked up a 52" just SE of the island. Never been back since.
