well, it has been decided that i will be on vacation the second week in june 2002 in minnesota(niece's graduation in woodbury is the real reason) - any suggestions for a lake somewhere near woodbury, MN that has lodging and boat rental for an entire week on a decent muskie lake(walleye/pike/panfish would be nice too)with a muskie guide service?? maybe white bear? ... mille lacs has the reputation of being overcrowded.. or how about minnetonka? any help would be appreciated-

You should really wait until spring to see how warm a spring we have before picking a lake but whitebear is clear water and might be a little cold water temp wise that early. There are a number of fine twin cities guides who range between $175- $350 a day but not too much has far has boat rental and they really rape you for just a little 14ft with 9.9hp. The smallet twin cities lakes are good then because they warm up quicker. If your driving up it would pay to borrow or rent a boat with trailer and that way you can pick betweena about 25 twin cities lakes. Also that weekend is the twin cities muskie tournament and anybody can get in. If you need some phone no's of guides just email me
