Has anyone come up with a drill bit mod to use a powerdrill to remove and reverse the line on their spool? I have an old berkley spooling station. The line remover that comes with it is for when tossing old line out but doesn't help when transferring or flipping line from a spool. Just wondering what people have made to work for them

Thanks

A 1/4" nut driver bit wrapped in electrical tape fits snugly inside the hole in a line spool. Simply tie on the end of your line and use the drill to spin the line off your reel. For flipping line, I just tie the old end from one reel onto whatever reel I'm spooling and reel from one to the other.

Got it thanks!
I probably should have been more clear when I said flipping line. What I meant by that was when you get near the end of a spool and you don't know how much line is on it and don't want to guess how much backing to fill out the spool. I put the braid on first then fill with however much backing it takes to fill it out to full. From there though you have to flip it twice to put back on right side out. It was a pia doing it by hand.
Thanks again

I use two old round reels. Tape it down, crank it up, tape it down again on the next random old reel. Then tape it down on the orriginal reel.

If you have extra reels laying around thats the way to do it. I just put some tape on a powerdrill bit and fit it to an empty spool works like a charm. Just have to keep 2 empty spools for it though.
