Location: Elroy, Wisconsin | Hello to the Musky Brothers,
I have to admit finally that my purchase of bucktails is out of control. Been layed up since March and for fun I go to all the tackle web sites. I order bucktails from most vendors but Spankies has me hooked. You do your own combos of blades and skirts and it is absolutely addicting. I now reaalize I have slipped over the edge and need help. There are still thousands of combos yet to go.
Musky lures annomous or some other group therapy may be in order. Maybe electric shock therapy would help.
Does anyone else have a similar problem? I have more lures that I will ever use in two lifetimes. HELP
All suggestions welcome.

| Happens to a lot of people in every hobby that exists. I realize I've got a few too many double cowgirls as a result of gander mountain going out of business. Was watching to many videos of people fishing green bay and the like. I havent had any action on them and have found I prefer double 8s. You'll find you now move into the phase of selling off some tackle before using that money to buy more. As long as it's just fun money there's no real problem other than not being able to fish them all. |

I have a lot of baits too. More than I need. But they hang proudly! |

| I know what you mean I was doing that earlier this year with bass gear and have transitioned right into musky gear. I just received my order from spanky baits , had 13 bucktails in it. 5 fireflies, eagle lake pack, custom shocker rainbow trout (which I tossed yesterday and today with no success), a double 9, and for good measure a natural Cisco hair tail. On top of that i recently got some bigfoot buchertails and windels to start composing a well rounded collection. I moved on to crankbaits and just ordered 9 of them. I was pretty much starting from scratch only having picked up a few baits throughout the last 15 years but now that I have true dedicated gear I'll be sitting next to all of you in the baits anonymous meetings lmao
Ps while I was fishing yesterday a guy walked by and we started talking. 1st thing out his mouth, you ever catch any here? 2nd thing was I have a couple hundred baits which he later corrected to I have about 600 baits lmao so you're not alone. Just try to give them all some water time it will at least make you feel better for buying so many |

| I lived in Africa for about a year not that long ago. And I visited the Spanky website quite a bit out of boredom. Created a lot of cool combos and definitely spent a lot of money. Spanky baits are my favorite bucktails and they get used quite a bit in my boat. My favorite time of year and bait to use is slow rolling Spankys at night. They catch quite a few Muskies for me every year under the dark sky.
Unless I need something cause I lost a lure or whatever. I generally reserve a month or two out of the winter months to spend money on baits and other accessories. I have gone overboard certain years buying tackle and everything else thats for sure. |
