I got my new BPS catalog today and quantum has a new round/low profile looking salt water reel that is musky sized. 6 bearings, looks interesting. I think it's called the cabo pt. Priced at 169.

I seen it and played with it already but the new shimano line counter is very well built and smooth but also pricey at 169.

Todd,

I took a real good look at my new catalogs tonight and I have to say that the new Quantum Cabo PT is looking like it just climbed to the top of the heap on my wish list. I hope they have some at the Chicago show to handle. I think it will make some real big noise among musky anglers. It's about time Quantum joined the musky tackle race. As much as I love Shimano I'm sick of paying a premium price for nothing more than a name. The PT series for bassin is quite impressive so my hope for the Cabo PT as a musky reel will hopefully live up to the hype. Even the Quantum Classic MG has possibilities at $60. Here's a little side-by-side chart I came up with....

Thanks, my brother told me I'd need to download a viewer if I wanted to read Excell files, wasn't sure if this was one..
