| I just was wondering what reel/reels everyone uses for jerkbaits. I tend to throw a lot of glider type baits eg. Hughes River, Amma Bama, Cobbs, etc. Two years ago I used the Calcutta TE 400 and that was just not fast enough to pick up the slack line. This last year I used the 6500 C4 and the reel just did not hold up to throwing the big baits. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!! |

Location: Chicago, Beverly | I've been using the same 6500C3 for alomost ten years. I tried my Calcutta 400 and my Corsair 400 for jerkbaits but the 6500 feels better for jerk baits. |

| I use the Garcia 7000C3. Chunks big baits with ease and the large spool allows for plenty quick line pick up. |

| Love the 6500C4 for the speed, also keep a bunch of spare parts in the boat for on the water rebuilds. |
