Made it out yesterday in front of Good Old Days for a couple hours. Solid 3 inches 100 yards out. Few people moving around on machines mostly on the south shore. Saw at least 3 different 4 wheeler/shanty combos making their way from hay stack towards Marquette. Couple guys racing up and down the north shore not very far out. I would advise caution. Seems like there must be more ice on the south shore then the north. I would not drive a 4 wheeler on any of the ice I was standing on.....By the weekend it should be even better. Good luck out there and be safe!!

Thanks CPR. Any action from the fish? Hope the warming doesn't kill the ice. If so, may have to do something else Saturday

I was out there all day last Saturday. Plenty of ice 4-5". A few spots with only 2". Be carefull!

Only thing was the fihing stunk. 1 Walleye missed at the hole, no Pike.

I think the lake is messed up, very dirty water, I think from the big rain at the end of November.

I won't go back for a few weeks.

If you go please let me know how you do.

[email protected]

I will hopefully get out somewhere this Sunday, if you want to go.

I made a similar post on icefishingfirst.com a few days ago.

I am game for somewhere on Saturday if I can get out of weekend overtime.

Pewaukee is spitting out some walleyes but the ice is very shakey. 2 inches of soft ice last night. We fished where we could put the tip-ups close to shore. We need some cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reports on Lake Link for Puck are all bad too.

Well, then. If the reports are that bad, I guess I'll have to come up with another plan. Sleeping in for a change sounds good! Can't remember the last time I slept in on a Saturday. Maybe even breakfast in bed? mmmmm

Sorry for the late reply. The fishing was SLOW for us on Sunday. No flags, did not see anybody else doing much better. Not sure what's up, we have done really well on early ice the last couple years. Fish up to 38 1/2", sorting through the 2 footers for the occasional 32"++. Please post if things change on the puck. Maybe we can have a small MF outing up there. Good luck on the hard h2o!!

Shep n' Koepp & Joe...

There's 6-10 inches here and Jason is looking to get out on Saturday. I can't go due to my daughter graduating college and family holiday stuff on Sunday.

This is good time for pike, eyes, and gills. I'll tell Jason where to take you guys..

Just a thought.
