Manific90 - 2/19/2021 6:41 AM I hope it will be safe for you! There are some posts that made me really scared... It's not strange you've not found any useful information about your issue, I am sure not many people can give a piece of really good advice here. I remember my brother was facing the same problem. He made a flaptail from aluminum. He was sure it's better than making it from copper. Of course, it wasn't the biggest problem. It's obvious he needed good instrumental equipment to perform this action. It was more than a year ago, but the https://fleetupmarketplace.com site he used is actual even nowadays. Their products are of really high quality. I'm not sure you need to be scared by some post. I would think there are many good opinions on this site, and some good crafters that offer their expertise. As far as Metals go. All metals offer some kind of usage for Baits and Musky, in this case. There has been many baits made with aluminums, coppers and Stainless. There was a bait made years ago called the Coppertail, or Badger tail which utilized copper. Many Buzz type baits, Aluminums, like topper stoppers, and alike produced big time in the fishing industry. Brass also a very highly used metal that produces Squeaks and scrapes. There is a bait I make I call top Buzz. Caught my longest fish today on it. The metals used, mostly Aluminum. The way I set this bait up, every 15-17 hours use, the props fail. Why, they simply where down, then I rewire and replace prop. This prop is wearing down from friction, which in turn produces squeaks, scrapes, and metals wearing in Harmony creating Sonics. SO; there is a time and place for all metals incorporated with lures. My first Headbangers I built were made with both Copper and Brass. I set out 4-6 baits for guides to test. Several years later, they were asking for the copper fin over Stainless and brass....Hmmm. here R a few of my builds and props used. Delta's, Buzz blades...ect. Yes; even the Hog wobbler was customized. The joint has aluminim incorporated in the joint. Talk about some clicking sound:)...Along with the Brass rattles...this bait is a regular garbage can clicking along the roadbed:) All metals R Options, Even Glass......and nothing to be afraid of:) JD
