I have two Diawa Regal LT’s. They are a great value at about $60 and have held up very well for me, which is why I bought a second. They are mostly used for bass, but the 2500 has been on fly-in trips for pike in Northern Canada where they’ve been tested on many large fish up to 46”. A 3000 would definitely do the job on Musky.

No his other thread was about a spinning reel that lasts forever, this one is about getting it cheaper
Seems the options he was given were too much $

In that case, I would still look at saltwater designed reels. Penn Pursuit line at 60 bucks, or bps Offshore angler series of reels. Kdawg

The spoons and spinnerbaits I use which are a booyah pikee and a size 5 mepps algia and the spoons i use are daredevle and all will catch muskies so i was hoping for a cheap reel that can hold 80lb power pro that is ideally under $50 that will work for muskies and last forever

No sarcasm here. But wait for Christmas or ur birthday and ask your family members to pick you up some Bass Pro Shops gift cards, and then go pick up one of the reels that was mentioned earlier. Kdawg

I was gonna sell you a Penn 6500 SS for $60 but you never replied to my PM. You'd never wear this one out. m

If $60.00 is to expensive take a look at the Zebco 33. Bullet proof and comes with line already spooled

The previous thread mentioned a maximum of $100 and this one a maximum of $50? I would definitely save up. You can't get anything remotely reliable for $50!
