When you are done with the day, and freezing temps are forecast for the night, trim the motor all the way down to drain any water, preventing a freeze-up. Before you start your motor, allow the lower unit a few minutes in the water. Even though the water is cold, it will be warm enough to melt any ice away from your water pump impellor, so you do not tear it up.

Excellent point!!!!!!!!Don`t forget to be running Sta-bel in your gas!Actually I run sta-bel year round so my gas is always fresh and good to GO!Jeff
