How many...

The funnest part about musky fishing is exploring different lakes. I calculated the number of lakes I have fished muskies for in the since I started musky fishing in 1997 and where they are located:

Vilas County (WI)= 10 lakes
Sawyer County (WI)= 2 (1 big one, bet you can't guess which one)
Bayfield County (WI)= 1
Ashland County (WI)= 1
Chippewa County (WI)= 1
Polk County (WI)= 2
Minnesota = none (it's on the list!)
Canada = 2

TOTAL: 19 Lakes in 4 years, a hook through my finger, hundreds of dollars in lures, thousands of dollars in related expenses, and memories that will last a lifetime--priceless!

On Deck soemtime in the next year: Somewhere to fish in the winter, Lake of the Woods, Mille Lacs, and a UP lake (Lac Vieux Desert)

Try the best you can: (1.) How many Lakes?, (2.) Where were they?, (3.) Where do you want to go where you have not been? (Estimates will do)

Good Luck, Terry Paulson[]

I have only fished 5, mainly because I spend a good part of my summer guiding on Lake of the Woods(Ontario), and the lakes that I have fished are fairly close ,1hr drive usually.
I would like to fish a couple of places, Kentucky because their season is longer and I can go will there is still snow on the ground up here, and Minnesota because it's close and I here fishing not to bad there either.

Here we go.

Vilas county: 8 Lakes
Onedia county:12 Lakes
Price county: 6 lakes
Waukesha county: 3 lakes
Sheboygan county: 2 lakes
Green lake county: 1 lake
Columbia county: 1 lake
Iron county: 1 lake
Rusk county: 1 lake

Canada: 2 lakes

Minnesota: None yet but I will get there in 02''I take that back I have been to lake of the woods so I guess I have fished in Minnesota.

So you can see over the past 15 years I have fished many lakes, but I get my best results concentrating on just a few of them a year.

during the 70's and early 80's, I went to every lake in the northern half of Wisconsin that was listed as Class A or B. That is DOZENS!! Settled on Pelican, Enterprise, and Moccasin at the time.

Steve, I have always wondered where all those Pepsi cans came from along all those roads to the lakes. Now I know! Boy, did you get around.
There has to be a better way to find you way home than to follow a trail of soft drink cans!?

For me it's 10 lakes in wisconsin and 8 in illinois. That is for musky. I have fished countless other lakes in both states.

My ten years hunting previous to this one have been mostly dedicated to the Big Chip. Since finally buying my own boat this year I have become a whore. I’ve been cheating on the Chip by fishing other lakes in Wisconsin, Indiana, and Illinois. I have also been with many other “partners”. Oh, the shame…

Since I’m now a slut I plan to explore Sawyer County a little more… Probably go over to that trout farm in Indiana a few times too.

1 lake in Illions, few fish caught and a hook through the finger. But, luckily its just my first year. I would like to fish Pewaukee, Cave Run, Mille Lacs/Leech, LOTW, and a few more local lakes.

Lets see....

Waukesha 3
Dane 2
Marathon 1
Marinette 2
Sauk 2
Columbia 1
Vilas 12
Iron 1
Green Lake 1

That's a pretty good guess. However, I suck so I haven't done a damn on any of 'em. Seein' em ain't what counts. It's puttin' em in the boat that brings the glory.

Ok. Now that we have posted how many lakes we have fished in what counties, let's name them.[] [] [] [;)]
