What do you think about this lake?
What are some good lures to use up there in the middle of August?
Does it usually have clear or stained water?

Crow lake is very clear/trout based lake.I have found the summer bite somewhat tuff! Mid-lake rocks and suspended fish was where most of are action was. This year we are making are annual trip there in late/sept.instead of summer!Hope you can catch more then we did.Good luck Jeff

Esox Hunter- Handyman is right- Crow (a.k.a. Kagagi- FWIW in Chippewa "Kagagi" = Raven) is clear "trout lake"- also trophy Muskie lake-54" limit, same as LOTW Whitefish Bay. I'm thinking about fishing it next June (late June). Trout Lakes can be tuff-But as Dick Pearson says there are some "super tankers" in Canadian shield trout waters. I think they get fat eating laker's. Get Dick Pearson's book "Muskies on the Shield"- Read the trout lake section at least 4x. H*ll read the whole book at least 4x- I'm on my 6th read & find a new tidbit each time! LOL-

I'm going on a CPR Muskie Fly-in w/15 yr old daughter to a "trout lake" 25th July -> 1st Aug . Conditions should be very close to Crow! I'll post a fishing report when I get back.[:p]
