I just called the 800 number for Cross Country Inns listed in the Ohio Muskie Show website and found the Cross Country Inn next door to the show is no longer owned by Cross Country Inns. They didn't have the direct dial number but here it is if you need to make reservations: 614-291-2983. I got a room for that Saturday night, hope to see y'all there. m

Hey Mikie,

Rooms are getting scare for all that wish to attend. I had to call 5 different hotels before I could find a room. Finally did, and only about 2.5 miles from the exposition hall.

Stop by my booth and say "Hello!" Mikie. It is shaping up to be a great show.

Hey Ralph, did you decide if you are going to get a booth there?

Mikie,

Are you still looking to split a room or is Mauser going?

Hi Ralph,

I talked to the Grand Goomba yesterday and he said he is going. He better darn it, otherwise I will be working my booth by myself!

Have you given any more thought about attending? It really should be a great show.

Sure, Ralph. I'll just have to convince my wife that you don't look a thing like your picture! Mr. G, can't wait to see your booth. Hope you guys get some good business out of this. I first got interested in Cave Run after meeting Crash at a fishing show in Columbus 10 years ago. There's a market in Ohio, for sure. see y'all there. m

Hey Mikie -- Do they sell St Croix rods and Calcutta reels at that show ???? JUST KIDDIN my friend -- Whats the dates and location of this buckeye event ? I might try to make it if its not 4 or 5 hours away from home. Sorry for not emailing lately just too dang busy, PS my last cast of the fall was with you in october. after my litle miss-hap I lost the heart to fish for awhile. I'm all better now , bought another calcutta off ebay but still looking for the right rod. Will probably catch up to ya at one of the shows this winter. Take care ManitouDan

Dan, you are a man with heart. To get it broke twice in one day - losing that fish then the rod - sometimes ya just gotta get back on and ride.

Check out www.ohiomuskieshow.com and you'll know as much about it as I do. Some awesome big names are slated, should be a blast. I'm rooming with Musky Fever and I think Mauser's coming up with me. I'll trade their baits to you! (just kidding, guys). m

Ok, Muskie People! The Cross Country Inn is still "The Cross Country Inn" next to the Buckeye Hall of Fame Cafe on South Olentangy Road! Please tell them you are coming for the show to receive a discounted rate! Can't wait to see you all there. It should be a good time! Muskie Girl

MG, I was told they sold it and they will be changing the name by the time we get there. Anyway, good location not too far from downtown. There's a Tim Hortons, Wendys, and several other restaurants within a block of the place (I've never been to the Columbus Fish Market, but there it is!) if you don't wanna eat at the Buckeye.
I e-mailed the organizers asking if there was a space to do a bait swap. If not, we'll do it in Cady's room and trade away his tackle box! m

Mikie -- What night are we going to do a bait swap ? I'll try to make it for sure since its in central ohio-- I've got a whole garage of stuff to trade -- If anyone has a rod they want to trade for lures/cash let me know what you have ! Is there anywhere else we can let other show customers know there is a lure swap going to happen ? the more the merrier. See Ya in Feb. ( Off this weekend to new hampshire to ski) ManitouDan
