You REALLY have a problem if you drive to Clear Lake to fish this weekend.

Greg,

If you're going all the way to Spirit, I suggest you get on Okoboji. I talked to a DNR guy there in Sept, and he said there are some real piggies in there, and it is underfished. Fish there have probably never seen Mr Bluegill!

Greg,
May have another option here in the land of corn and hogs.Maybe not the trophy potential of the other 2 but some #'s and a possible piggy.Much smaller water. Shoot me an e-mail if you may be interested. A little longer drive, but no drive is too long to chase 'skis. Steve

West Okoboji is ice free with the only ice in the harbor. There is nobody fishing so you could have the lake to yourself. Good luck.

Greg,
Your best bet in Iowa would be west okoboji or the lake steve is refering to. Clear lake i heard has alot of ice on it . I may also be going to west on sunday i have not been there for quite awile been busy trapping, but this warm spell might bring my boat out 1 more time. Steve i have heard you guys over there have quite a little fishery and are doing very good this fall. I would be interested in what kind of results that lake is producing. I may have to make a trip over that way next year.
good fishing,tracy

Greg, just hook the boat up and head for PA, we'll have open water probably for at least another month.
