Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Just wondering where the rest of you are at on this one....I spent about 50 days on the water last year, and only 3 of those days where for fishes other than muskies, 2 for salmon and one for smallies. About what percentage of the time do you spend on muskies vs. other fishes?

Location: Waukesha, WI. | I was out about 10 times,3 of these I took the kids( 3 and 5) for blue gills found some 9-10". This was a blast. The wife and I went 2 times for bass this is what she likes to fish for and 5 times for musky. I did get my biggest musky this yesr, a 46"er, best part about it is that it was on one of the baits that I make!! |

Location: Eagle River, Alaska | I got not a single day fishing for musky this year....very pathetic. Most of my time was spent fishing salmon and trout....also some halibut and during vacation some inshore Florida fishing.
Next summer I plan on an extended musky pilgrimage back down to the lower 48.
Be Good,

Location: Ogden, Ut | I probably get to spend 50-60 days a year angling (all day or portions thereof). If I only count the open water fishing, because I do a lot of ice fishing too, my time is split about 70% chasing warmwater species and 30% chasing their coldwater counterparts. When conditions are favorable I can be found chasing walleye, crappie, bluegill, perch, wipers, and obviously muskies. My coldwater quarry includes cutthroat, brown, rainbow, lake, and brook trout as well as kokanee salmon; both stream fishing (fly rod) and reservoir fishing from boats. I feel extremely fortunate to have that kind of diversity available to me and would feel that I may be cheating myself out of a whole boatload of fun if I didn't try most of it at some time. About the only species fairly readily available that I don't fish for much are largemouth and smallmouth bass. Just haven't gotten around to it yet I guess...My ice fishing is primarily for perch and crappies but an occasional trout trip is not out of the question. Man, life is good...

Location: Freedom, WI | This year like most years just muskies (even though there was a fair amount of pike and walleyes for me this year, I was fishing muskies). If I had more time to fish there might be some other fishing thrown in. I am lucky that my son and wife both like to muskie fish, and for some reason my fishin buddies are also muskie fisherman. |

Location: Valentine, NE USA | I try to shoot for 100 days p/year on the water and spend about 1/2 of it chasing Pike, simply because the lake is about 100 yards from my house. Comes in really handy for testing baits and...it's very convenient!
The remaining time is probably divided into: 40% musky and 10% ice fishing for whateverthehell I can catch.

Location: St. Louis, MO., Marco Is., FL, Nestor Falls, ON | I spend approximately 200+ days per year fishing. About 120 day are devoted to Muskie fishing and the balance is saltwater fishing for snook, snapper, grouper, tarpon, sheepshead, etc. I also fish for walleye, lake trout, northern pike and smallmouth; but it is always while fishing for Muskies. |

Location: DES MOINES, IOWA | Ever since I discovered all other fish are bait, I spend 100% of my fishing time on Muskies.Totally ruined me for fishing other species.Use to fish Walleyes,Bass,Crappies,Cats, but haven,t used any of this equipment for years.Might as well sell it.Last year I didn,t spend the quality time on the water as in the past.I plan on spending around 40-50 days on the water fishing Muskies in 2004.I need to round up some partners, since it impossible for my boys to get away for 2 days in a row, because of family obligations. |

Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | I'll fish for other species when muskies aren't open. But once the real season opens, it's pretty much all muskies. This year I put in 58 days on the water musky fishing and I believe maybe 2 or 3 days fishing for bait when I only had a few hours to fish.

Location: Willoughby, Ohio | Considering where I live, it would be foolish not to take advantage of some of the other fishing opportunities in the area. I live 3 minutes from one of Lake Erie's top steelhead rivers (the Chagrin) and 20 minutes from another (the Grand). I'm also about 2.5 miles south of Lake Erie, so I fish perch and walleye a couple of times a year. As a general rule though, I fish muskies Mid-April through October and steelhead November - mid April. Of course, I'll do a little ice fishing as well if nothing else is open. |

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | I spend the time from ice-out (usually mid april) until May 15th (the WI/MI border lake musky opener) chasing walleye and crappie. After May 15th until freeze up it is 100% muskies, with the exception of one crappie trip for my father-in-law. Anytime I try fishing for anything else there is a nagging feeling in my gut that the muskie are moving!!

Location: Racine, Wi | I would say 95% musky this year. I have been obsessed. I even got the wife out a couple of times instead of bass fishing. I put the bass rods away and haven't touched them since June. Now that the season is over in Wis, I will be seeking the browns and rainbows in the big pond, and walleye on the rivers.
Good lungen,

Location: Bagley,MN 56621 | This is the first time in 3 years I have dusted off my walleye/bass gear during the Wis. Musky season., I did that only so I wouldnt be bored to death listening to Duck ratchet-jawing the whole time while judging the PMTT Championship on Cass.
I live north of hwy 10, so I used to fish walleyes in May, then switch gears Memorial weekend. I havent even done that the last 2 seasons.
Heck 2 springs ago, I went south of 10, just to ski fish.
I got IT baaaaaaaaad.
100% HARDCORE MUSKY NUT!!! |

Location: MIlton Ontario Canada | I fish Lake Trout usually a couple days before the ice is completely out for about a month then I take it easy for a while waiting for the muskie season to open then I fish Muskies after that probably about 95 % of them time with a few smallmouth trips thrown in somewhere throughout the season.

Location: Holly, MI | winter and spring find me tangling with river steelhead. First ice out has me battling mr pike. From the first saturday in June until bow season I can't think of anything else other than Muskies. I'll do a couple of salmon trips in the fall because the grill and smoker get lonely. Gotta get a few buckets full of perch thru the ice of course. The poor bass, I hope they don't feel too neglected. October 1st of course I'm swinging in a tree with a stick and a string. I did get out 3 times Musky chasing this fall after bow season started! |
