Location: Hoboken, NJ / North Webster, IN | So, I feel a little odd putting up a not so huge fish, but the story ain't bad...and it's a personal best, so here goes. Was screwing around with a spinning reel(10lb test) and rigged it with a minnow that came along with the suckers, on a 3/4 oz jig head....put it about 5 feet down, between the sucker rods, and just put the rod on the ground.
I here the click, click, click...look at both sucker rods and nothing's moving, glance down at the spinning rod and it's going. After about 10 turns of the drag, I set the hook, and after some serious playing, some sucker rod interference, and grabbing the line with my hand to get the head into the net...this is what I got out of it...43 inch, 20lbs
Indiana lakes are still hopping...saw one guy get two 46" in an hour yesterday. I got this and a 36" todday and saw 6 others caught. Water was 43.
Tight lines to all and Happy Thanksgiving.

Kevin...It was out of Webster, ton of bait gathering right now |

I can tell by the photo that there was a Pirate Ship approaching to the right and they wanted to "Steal your Fish". |

Location: Lafayette, IN | Super fish MF! Happy Hoidays, huh? Keep up the good work. ...a little p.s. to my good fortune on Tippy last week... My brother-in-law's Dad seemed pretty underwhelmed by the picture of my 42 incher at thanksgiving today. I didn't even bring it up. My bro-in-law asked if he'd seen the picture and that's the first he knew about it. His family's had a place on Tippy for years and I don't think he's ever seen anything like that on his line. I don't even think he's seen one swimming around. Maybe it's just my imagination but I think he's thought I've been wasting my time going after muskies these last 3 years on Tippy. Hopefully the next one won't take so long to catch. Maybe he'll target them someday and find out why they call it a "sickness". Happy Holidays everyone.
