Location: Bagley,MN 56621 | hit the lake at noon today after work, pumped up about the cold snap and the new moon coming tomorrow with a moon rise today at 3:45PM.
At 2:00 I get 2 follows withnin 10 minutes, just smaller fish coming up on the pause of the wabull and darting off. (It just is starting to snow, that crystally sand type stuff)
At 3:20 I see a huge flash 1/2 way back to the boat, then about 20' out a nice low 40's fish swings and misses , never to be seen again.(getting more aggressive)

At 3:50 I start to hear gun shots, it wasnt the same deer either, within 5 minutes i could hear shots in 3 different locations around the lake.
at 4:10 I get another huge flash halfway in, again about 20' out it rolls and misses. I figure 8'd about 4 times and there she was, hot hot hot. This mid 40's fish must have went around the figure8 6-7 times and on EVERY corner she swiped and missed. I slowed down on the next curve and she just nipped the back hook, I set but just felt a tick...she was off line a rocket, water splashing and everything.
It is so weird how wildlife can correlate to moon rises/set's.
From noon to 3:50, I never heard a shot and that when I saw the most aggressive fish.
I first became a believer of this at a Musky Hunter school where we documented all times caught , then looked at the days moon chart.
Also at Rollie and Helens spring tourney, was amazing to see that a great majority were caught around the moon rise.
I'd be real interested to see what hunters saw out in the woods today...was your peak movement at moon set today?? |

Location: Pulaski, WI | The peak times I saw on the web were from 9 - 12, when I was freezing my but off and not catching anything. Left @ noon. Where were you getting your times?

Location: Freedom, WI | Gregg, Jomusky and I went out today and tried Mr Bluegill #3 before Joe sends it off to its new home. We did some trolling and I got first hour and got to bring in a fat 37" on a jointed believer at 9:20 am. We did not get anything else when we left at 3PM. Took a picture of Mr. Bluegill and I will try and paint you a Nitro like that for next year. |

Hot bait you got there, all fish were moved on it.
she'll be wet all day tomorrow too.
my first choice would have been that perch one, probaly the best perch pattern I've seen.....but the bullhead was closer lol. |

Location: oswego, il | The new moon did wonders for us too. By 3:45 I had scratched a bald spot in my head trying figure out where the %^&$ the nice fish we had been catching in weeks prior went to. |

hot moon rise=wild life activity
