I recently purchased a box of less than perfect bucktail blades, most all unused but had terrible finish on them. Rather than toss them I decided to strip them. Almost all had a like new nickel finish and a few didn't so I painted and cleared them. Nothing fancy just a rattle can. I found out in the end I could use all of them.

What did you use to remove the finish?

It's call Klean Strip premium stripper. Comes in a spray can. I just bought it i am sure other strippers would work well.
