Hi all. New boat next year as Pandemic has derailed this year. Going with 1875 Pro V Bass XS with 150 Honda( Hopefully enough juice as I want Honda and not the extra 100 pounds of the V -6 Honda 200 )or Triton 186 Fishunter Single Console model for both. My question is with Triton Glass boat being heavy and so wide I hope 175 Max HP will be ok(E-Tec G 2). Good news as I heard Vexus has a Deep V Aluminum model for us Northern fisherman that supposedly to be released to the public this October .I've been hoping/waiting they would be coming out with Deep V tin model. I hope they model their boat after Lund's Pro V Bass just cheaper. Lund prices went through the roof in the last 2 years, Thoughts or advice on my 2 leading choices?
Thanks; stay safe.

Top speed is 46-50 with the Merc 150 4-stroke according to Lund (page 79 of the link). The 200 gives you another 6 mph. Not sure how those numbers might change with the Honda but I can't imagine much.

I have a friend with a little bit older pro V bass and that is an incredible boat. Can’t speak to the triton as I don’t have any experience with it but the pro v was super comfortable to fish off of and was really space efficient. The casting deck is set up a lot more like a bass boat so you will get a little wet in bigger waves but it is really nice not having to work around the walls while working a bait. He’s got a 150 merc on it and we topped out around 50 with 2 people on the boat. If I could have any boat in that class though I’d take a ranger 1882wt even though it is more of a true V. My dad has one with a 150 merc that I have spent hundreds of hours fishing with him on vermilion. Boat handles big water as well as you can ask for a tin boat and is super comfortable to fish out of. Has higher walls than the pro v bass but not enough to really impact working baits in my opinion. With both of us on it we’ve gotten it up to 55mph with the motor trimmed just right and calm conditions. It’s a little cheaper than the pro V bass but not a big difference. I’m probably biased because I have so many good memories on that boat but it is a really solid rig. Fished in 2-3 foot chop before in some of the basins on vermilion and I never felt unsafe.
