Really need to order some replacement hooks and I am having a really hard time finding a good round bend bronze hook in 2/0 through 5/0 for most of my baits.
I ordered a bunch of eagle claw 774 hooks and was disappointed to see they don’t have that typical round bend design.
Really want to stick with the round bend design. I like the bronze hook that comes on the Mepps Muskie #5 spinner. That would work for me. What is that hook Mepps uses if you know? Would really appreciate any recommendations. Maybe the gamakatsu 3x treble would work? Thanks.

Mustad 35656 BR in 3/0 size is a popular round bend hook for a lot of lures. Weagles, Phantoms, Shallow Invaders are a few I can think of that use these.

Thank you for all of the suggestions.
I think I am going to stay with round bend bronze hooks at this time. Most of those black nickel hooks have never really worked for me. Maybe later if I see them in person first.
Gamakatsu makes a very nice hook in 1/0 through 5/0 and I think I will have to pick up a few packs just for some of my more choice baits. Probably not entirely in my budget since I’ve been a little excited about expanding my collection of musky gear lately but you need good hooks for those fish! I am going to look at all of your suggestions again and most probably pick up two or three packs of each to try out too.
I have been fishing that musky Mepps 5 for a few days here and there from the bank and the hook points are starting to become dull. I think it is a VMC hook. I’ve read that the VMCs can be slightly difficult to sharpen. Curious about that. I have a yellow Luhrs file coming in anytime. I’ve fished chemically sharpened hooks for bass and in the salt for so long I’ve never really needed to sharpen hooks! With those hooks, the point becomes bad, in the trash it goes.
Thanks. All suggestions are welcome.
What hooks come on the Suick? They seem pretty good.

MUSTAD also has the 3551 through 9/0. good hook for the $$
the newer SUICK's use the 9650 VMC, great hook! older ones had eagle claw 467's i do believe but unless you ordered 1k of them you couldn't get them. i ordered some from suick themselves years ago.

Thanks! I fished my 9” hi thriller for a bit today and just sort of tried to tune it a little bit. It was rolling over on its side pretty bad on some of the harder jerks I would do until I bent the tail down a little bit and bent the nose line tie a little bit. Seems to work and dive much better now but I still wasn’t really getting that “ooh” gliding and diving action out of it. Was a little hard to tell what it was doing since our waters are pretty muddy and flowing somewhat fast right now. Getting it dialed in though!
But anyway, these VMC 9650s are definitely a hook I could see working for myself.

Hmm. The hooks on my 8” Weagle and Shallow Invaders are not the same. The hooks on the Weagle are pretty stout and look pretty good. But the hooks on my Shallow Invaders are clearly different. They seem to be slightly lighter, both in design and the color of the hook.
