| I have been looking at getting a bigger boat for a while and figured I would ask for some opinions from people that have fished out of different brands and models. I am leaning toward a 620 but would like more opinions. I also want a full windshield which I totally understand the goods and bads of that.
Is there any models in the 20' range that you didn't like fishing out of? If yes why?
Any models that you liked everything about them except for one thing?
Any models that were not good in any way for muskie fishing?
Any models have lower sides for easier fish handling? Models that are too high? |

| Spent a lot of time in both the 619/620 VS and FS. I felt that the deck on the FS positions you a few inches higher above the water, so you have to bend over more to figure 8 in the FS hull than the VS hull. I have heard that cutting the rod tubes on the FS hull gets you to 9' storage, whereas on the VS hull it only gets you to 8'6". Ride, layout, deck-cockpit ratio, and storage of the 620 have been wonderful.
I'm hoping to spend some time in a Tuffy X-190 and skeeter MX2040 this year. Those are very interesting boats |

Location: Madison, WI | I have a 09 620 vs and you can get 2 9’ rods in the center tubes if you cut the ends off. My uncle has a skeeter MX 2020 and the layout and storage in the skeeter is better in my opinion, but the ride is much nicer in the Ranger. The Ranger FS hulls do appear to be deeper than the vs. but I’ve never been in one

Location: 31 | The FS definitely sits up noticeably higher than the VS, but it's because of the deeper hull design. This is especially true of the earlier VS models.
I would say that the 08 621VS that I had fished similar to a 2010-2014 620VS, and it was lower to the water than a FS620, if that's a consideration.
However, if you fish any sizable water, I recommend the FS hull for fish ability and resale. |

| Warriorboatsinc.com V208, one of the best rides available, plenty of HP allowed, rod storage to make every boat jealous 9' center rod locker, 2-12' rod boxes, 2-12' rod shelves. Front and rear casting decks that seem to fish close enough to the water line, only thing I would do would be rig some down spouts in the bow storage for baits and set up a couple milk crates to go inside the consoles to hold more back up baits. |
