This just was just forwarded to me.


The state now owns the Five Mile Aquatic Management Area on Leech Lake.
It took some time to produce an abstract.

Thanks much for all the help. Please pass on that the property has been
acquired.

Is this the area that Dick Pearson was selling the raffle tickets for last winter? If so, I'm glad to have contributed to this, and this is great news for little muskies-to-be!

Yes that is what Dick and others were selling the raffle tickets for. What a success story and a clear indication of what can be done to protect Muskies spawning habitat!!
