Location: Madtown, WI | Well I was out on some Milwaukee area lakes both Sat and Sunday for 3 hours at a crack each time. There were plenty of other muskie fisherman out as well. But the reports I heard weren't good. Sat, saw one and screwed up a fish on a sucker. Sunday I had a sucker on a planer board out over deep water down 30 feet. Board started acting weird so I pulled in the line and poped the board. Thought I felt something but couldn't tell for sure. Slowly lifted the rod until I saw a mid 40 inch fish with a sucker T-boned in its mouth.....GAME ON!
Let the fish swim down and away....crank down....set....zip goes the drag!!!!! Back comes the rig! UGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!! Two days before I forgot I changed out the reel and some moron forgot to set the drag!!!!! Two days...slow fishing...and blow two fish on suckers!!!! HATE IT when that happens!!!!
Hope others had better luck!

Location: Madison, WI | The Monona muskies showed me who's in charge on Saturday. Another "perfect" muskie fishing day with no muskies to show for it! I had no lunch meat to hang over the side but the others that I spoke with that did have suckers said there was nothing happening on the meat either. I'm now waiting for the next "perfect" muskie day to come along only my new desciption of "perfect" is going to be post cold front blue bird. They gotta go then don't they??? Craig |

Location: Racine, Wi | We hit the water pretty hard this weekend. Met Kly and his buddy on the water for a little cook out. Found out that a portable grill is great for drying gloves. Anyway, We raised one nice fish right off the bat on a sucker. No taker. Then we raised 2 more farther down the spot. No love. We did smack a small pike, and saw Kly's buddy get a fat 41.5 on a sucker.
Sunday, I found the fish that I am going to be chasing for the next two weeks. She was a fatty that followed in my slowly twitched minnow bait. She took a couple of looks, and I thought she was going to hit, but she turned away. Then my suckers got nervous, but she wouldn't hit. She is a Fat upper 40, that should go 30lbs. Huge shoulders. I will get her if it is the last thing I do this season.
Good lungen,

Location: Illinois-Indiana | Joel,
Good job, I need to get back up there and do some fishing, there are some PIGGIES in there.:)
How were the brats, the grill sounds like a great idea to keep warm on those COLD days.
Kyle,
Good job on the fatty, drop me a line so we can hit the water again, boat should be ready by Tuesday.

| We were out for about 5 hrs on Sunday. Had 3 in the boat...40", 36" and 34". One on a dropbelly slammer, one on a shallow invader and one trolling a "squirrely" 9" Grandma. The Lone Stone had an awesome boatside hit on the Drop Belly. We had an interesting experience with releasing a sucker that I was tired of dragging around. I unhooked it and threw it in the lake and about 30 seconds later a 40" plus fish creams it. The fish followed Shawn's reef hawg two casts later. Dad has to wait until the last trolling pass to catch fish, that makes three time now. |

| Hey Treats
We got a 38ish inch tiger on Tonka yesterday. First one we've ever caught there. What's up with that? Did they stock Tonka w/ tigers? Wonder if these are naturally occuring.

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | Ended my year the way I started it, great! Brought Shane Mason out for some cisco munching fatties, and the first half hour gave me a beautiful 47 1/2" with a 22 1/2" girth. The Triple D did it again for me! We saw about another dozen fish, but they were low, slow, and not willing to eat.

| Was very happy to get out on Saturday. My fishing partner, Kevin, caught a 34" fish on a quick strike rig 20' down. Fish had a fat little fall
belly. That was the only fish for the day. I was happy as he has four
kids and doesn't get to fish much. That was his third sucker fish of
the fall. Just happy to still get out at this point. Water was 39F. |

| Hi,
We did fairly well, got out sat. and my buddy Matt laid the iron on a fatt 41.5 on a sucker. Before this we saw a couple and had a great lunch thanks to tuffy1. Thanks guys for cooking for us and forming the sucker soaking party barge!!! We had a great time and alot of laughs. Sunday launch was full by 8am, oops should have gotten up when the alarm went off, grrr. Went to pewaukee and Matt moved a solid upper forty inch fish. not much else, but a great weekend to be out.
Ralph glad to hear you will be back in action, hope all was not serious with the cable? I will hit you with an email at the end of the week to see if we can't get out again.
Chad, nice work!!! Maybe I should have stayed in Iowa.

Location: Iowa | I called a rain-day at work today, so promptly got home, switched trucks, hooked up to the boat and went out to see the pattern ChadG and I had would hold up one more day. Very windy, rain, and just plain miserable, but did manage to land a 36.5". And also messed up a net job on another about the same size. It sucks when my reliable net man(ChadG) isn't there to help me out. Oh well, it was still a LOT better than working today!!! |

Location: oswego, il | We fished all day saturday in the rain and drizzle and caught 4 short fish. Not sure why the bigger ones were inactive, the fish we caught smacked the baits hard. |
