Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | This one caused some serious argument on Facebook. It's a silver pike caught by my grandson Kaden, with very cool coloration. Silver-phase pike are not too awful uncommon, but this coloration I have never seen before. Cool fish.

Location: Hayward, Wisconsin | Nice "Silvers"!! As Mr. Worrall stated, not extremely rare, but not plentiful either. Some waters that have them seem to have many. Lake Okoboji in Iowa at one time, as stated by the DNR there, had 5% of the pike population there Silvers. Also not real rare on the Ottawa and St. Lawrence Rivers. Not many of them get real big. The one in the photo from MD75 is a "giant" Silver!
Back in the 60's, my Dad got one from Eagle Lake that was a skinny 41 inches. We had no clue at the time what it was. Fins and tail looked "pike", head looked "muskie" and the scales on the body were alternating rows of black/dark grey and silver.
