Location: north central wisconsin | My buddy asked me to go up north fishing with him Tuesday and yesterday on some of the remaining open water, and I declined to go bowhunting(still chasing the ten pointer I missed last week). I rarely do that, but didn't think I could possibly miss much as the fishing has been a bit slow for us the past few days. Was I wrong!!!! He had to call me last night to brag about how great it was and what I missed blah blah blah...... He and another guy got ten muskies in two days with the first one they caught being 51.5" and 25" around. It was the first 50"er in WI for either one of them. Oh well, I had fun holding onto a tree for deer(no pun intended) life as the wind gusted to 40 mph.

Location: north central wisconsin | Good luck up there!!! I plan on going next tuesday and hopefully find open water! All their action was on a slowly worked Zalt bait(7 of the ten muskies) and a green Suick caught the big one(which was released). They didn't have one hit on a sucker which was amazing, as they had several follows that wouldn't even go on them. I'll try to get pictures of the big girl up if he agrees. |
