Subject: How Big???


Was out sucker fishing and had a hit, set the hook and well she got away. Got the sucker back and the bite had a 7" spread.

This weekend my brother and myself were out, I got a 38 on a sucker.
Once the muskie was released, we looked at the sucker and she was ripped big time. HUGE gash marks down here side. If I didn't land the 38, I sure would have thought it would have been a large fish.

We did manage to lose one on a sucker, a litter better than 40 inches. She attacked 1 sucker, got off, hit another one, got off. Both suckers were a wreck. Guts hanging out, huge holes ripped in the sides and bottoms, etc....

So you may never know.

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs		Here's a pic of a piece of meat that got grabbed by a 42". Not too big a spread on the fish. I think there isnt much correlation as to how big the fish is to how the sucker ends up looking. A smaller fish can tear the piss out of a sucker or a big one can just gingerly grab it, so who knows?
