Location: Madison, WI | Hey, just wanted to give a big shout out to Karl Knuth (aka TheWaterWolf)…
Thanks, Karl. We greatly appreciate that you took the initiative to make the phone calls and do the necessary legwork to make the lure swap a reality. The lure swap was the primary reason my friend and I drove from Madison to West Bend today. (Without the lure swap, we wouldn't have attended. So Rollie and Helen's would like to thank you as well, because I bought 2 Grandmas from them at the show that I obviously otherwise wouldn't have purchased had I stayed in Madison).
Thanks also to everybody who showed up to the Slippery Rail and purchased food or drinks to make it worthwhile for the Slippery Rail to host the event. I asked one of the bartenders if it had been a profitable evening for them, and she affirmed that it had been. I asked her to thank the manager, and indicated that we might like to do it again next February.
All in all, I think it was a positive experience, and I think if we do it again next year, we might have an ever better turnout (with more advanced notice available for everyone) - although this was certainly a decent turnout for a first time venue.
Anyway, I had a great time at the swap, and just wanted to thank Karl for a job well done.
Kudos to TheWaterWolf….

Location: Neapolitan Chain Of Lakes | I second what Jackpot Johnny said. Thanks Karl for everything you did in setting the lure swap up. I enjoyed it and look forward to seeing everyone there next year. I left with another bag full of goodies from the swap. Man I love going to the swap after the show. It's a good thing no one went with me cuz my passenger seat was full with a few very large bags stuffed full of treasures from the show and the swap!!! Someone would've been strapped to the roof Auntie Griswold style cuz my baits ride shotgun period! Muahaha |

Location: oswego, il | It was a small event but the people who came had some good spreads. Met JDSplasher, bought a marine radio and some like new lures under 10 bucks. I didn't eat but a friend on mine said the fried chicken was excellent. Nice little bar with alot of parking.
Hint for all the musky fishing parents who have kids who are getting into it. Swap meets are a treasure hunt for them and they will walk away with insane bargains. Good Muskie baits for a dollar or two where an adult would pay much more. Seen it happen many times.
